Broken Pinion Bolt

Well guy's finally happen, pinion bolt loosened and broke. I was ripping and having a good run and just thought to my self this thing is running great and she rev'ed high, so I shut her down and did a check and sure enough broken pinion bolt.

Now for my question, I just ordered a VERTIGO hex bell, do I need to replace outside bearing on the VERTIGO bell carrier. the inside bearing is a 12x24x6 and the outside is a 12x28x8 or is the hex pinion the same as a keyed pinion.

After continued looking I believe I have answered my own question, Pinion has same raised shoulder as slotted pinions so same bearings should work.

I have the vertigo on each rig and don't recall having to change any bearings for what it's worth to you

I’ve never had issues with clutch bolts breaking using these upgraded bolts. Even with the stock plastic clutch housing.
Use these bolts.....Also sparingly use red loctite on this bolt.

Thank you for info but have already ordered VERTIGO HEX BELL that eliminates pinion bolt with threaded shaft from DDM.
