looks cool with that green...I see in the pic that your pinion is half of the spur..could be the camera angle! In any case that is sweet as hell and can't wait to see it run!

No your right. I had to lock tight it down because it keeps coming lose. I'll post some vid's here asap. Thanks for the comments.

Project completed. Thank you everyone for your lipo and charger input. Pics soon.

dlx, thanks for chiming in. I'd like to see more of us with this setup comparing and sharing tips and info.

What's your weight, gearing, runtime, temps?

looks good.. but looks like the pinion gear needs to go back some more so it will be even with the center diff looks like its ridding on the middle of the gear.

Thinking about converting myself, where do I pick up these kits.
Stay away from brushless lol :) :)

There's a big learning curve tho, the motor, the setup, gearing and batteries, would be a good project.

But I suggest you pick up a used low priced Mt instead, and convert that to battery.

This way you'll have two MTs. 1 gas and 1 battery.

Noone bashes for only 15 mins.

Note that E power doesn't last long. Maybe 15 mins if you're lucky and a very hot motor.

I really don't know about cost but big motors are expensive. If you notice, E power is always more expensive than gas powered.

You have batteries as well (ask RCdad on his double 8s creation)

Leaving MT gas wanted to convert the dbxl. Checking online for kits and watching a few YouTube vids.

Found everything to convert losi dbxl from gas to electric, didn't know it would cost me a new Losi to do it.
