Leaving MT gas wanted to convert the dbxl. Checking online for kits and watching a few YouTube vids.Silent_chaos said:Stay away from brushless lol![]()
There's a big learning curve tho, the motor, the setup, gearing and batteries, would be a good project.
But I suggest you pick up a used low priced Mt instead, and convert that to battery.
This way you'll have two MTs. 1 gas and 1 battery.
Noone bashes for only 15 mins.
Note that E power doesn't last long. Maybe 15 mins if you're lucky and a very hot motor.
I really don't know about cost but big motors are expensive. If you notice, E power is always more expensive than gas powered.
You have batteries as well (ask RCdad on his double 8s creation)
Just checked it out thanks, what batteries are you using?BigWheel said:I purchased my XL2/2028 combo from Power Hobby on eBay for $335 and it came with the 8mm bullet connectors already soldered. The shipping was fast. But it's still going to be an expensive project.http://www.ebay.com/itm/380872078660
Ok thanks for the info.BigWheel said:MaxAmp 3s 6500mAh 150c. They're nice batteries but pricey; I'm not sure they were worth the extra cost.
