You've had the Fg, you will regret not getting a Baja 5B, i've had a FG MT and seen plenty of Voo's Marders/Leos ect and they don't handle like the Baja, roll over far to easy.
Plus i've spent plenty on my MT doing upgrades, I bought my first baja and i've not looked back, Voo is even converted and we all know how many FG's he had.
You may spend more to get a nice 1, you may see some break more than others (ask hyperpete, his is lucky proof) but thats cos we bash harder, shock shafts and spurs are the most common, other than that they not too bad.
1 of mine ends in a few days on fleebay and lots of interest so fingers crossed.

simple solution, get both :D

not sure what you mean about them rolling over easy. yes my MT would roll fairly easy. But it was an MT so this is to be expected. my FG baja on the other hand is very flat and stable, ive never rolled it simply by turning hard, only if I go off or land bandly jumping.

FG desing is simple and easy to maintain. But FG desing lookslike it has just put together without thinking handling. Actually my neighbour first saw my carson attack (marder clone) he said "oh cool, did you make it yourself..." maybe 4wd would be only thing to make buy fg (or similar) and then maybe nutech or mcd. FG is still fun to drive but I just hate that rolling over. Still gotta remember where you gonna drive because baja takes more space than marder. Baja is 1/5th scale and fg is 1/6th scale and you really gonna notice that.

i don't think you can go far wrong with a fg there strong straight from the box but its well worth changing the engine mounts to alloy and gears to steel put a pipe on and youle be happy them just change bits as and when you can afford to as for them rolling over they are a bit unstable but you can make them better anti rollbars help plus the fg fat shocks are tons better than stock mines all alloy and carbon fibre it does take a good bashing ive left the plastic rose joints on as it needs a weak link i would rather break a £1 rose joint than a alloy arm ect

ah yeah good idea that mate.

I got the front anti roll bar and put king cobra balloon springs on the standard shock on the back. Its improved the handling loads for approx £20 :D
I reckon the FG baja wheels and tyres would improve the handling even more especially round the corner cos they would let the back end slide more rather than the standard spikes digging in. IMO the spiked tyres that have a lot to do with roll overs  These are next on my list.
