it is a zenoah 4 bolt, G270. It had the orignal zenoah clutch and was the same. in both cases I used zenoah clutch bolts not the fla thead hex type for HPI.
 
good call on that one. i never knew that they used different length bolts. but then i've never had a zen yet, just cy's.
 
nop not yet, bearings are ok and in position. I don't know what else could go wrong.
 
what do you recommend ? change the bolts or the clutch ?

Check to see if the clutch is moving side to side on the bolts. If you used the Zen bolts on a Cy clutch the bolts should have been small for the clutch shoe holes. The 9mm CY bolts will have no play like zen bolts will. If you find that is the issue see below.
