SO does the carb need any changes or upgrades when going to a race ported head ? larger jets etc. ? I have the stock Rovan 32cc carb ( not sure of the model # )

I assume it is this one ??

Looks like DDM suggests the WT-1107 modified carb for the 32cc and so does SeanD in the CARB sticky

A 990 or 1107 will perform just fine on most race style cylinders. When I get some free time I'm planning on digging out some of my other carbs and seeing how big of a difference they make on my engines.
I was waiting to hear from you LOL ! , thanks man , looks like the 1107 has a larger venturi vs 990
Im gonna make sure the ESP 32cc head kit works on the Rovan bottom end and get it running then try a better carb on it to test out the difference in power and response.

They perform about the same, I have no way to confirm, but the larger venturi is supposed to make up for the choke hindering airflow. I don't have a flow bench so no way to know for sure. But I prefer the 1107 over the 990. For me they have been very reliable and easy to tune.
