I'm lost for words, sorry can't help, would like too though....
Sounds like if you are getting gas on your finger and just not getting ignition and that it could only be the spark. You installed the kit and ran it before switching to the new carb right?
Maybe you just got a bad carb? I would put the stock on and try it out again.
I just re-read the whole post, have you ever had it running with the new kit on? If not did you install the piston in the correct position with the ring ends at the pin stop? Is the coil correctly seated at the max a business card away from the rotor?

Fella is it a zenoah bige bore kit? Why io ask just installed one on a friends engine woulndn't fire! New ring installed third pull she was away!
