Carburetor issues

Any mass produced parts are gonna have issues - its the luck of the draw. There are a few parts on the hy carb that are higher quality than the Walbro- butterfly plates for example. I have bought 668s-771s-813s 990s, carbs for chain saws-you name it- they all tune diffrently- you can have a box of the same carbs and no 2 will run the same- Tinkering is the fun part of any hobby fo me. best of luck to you with your new car.

what;s the difference between this carb and the 668? I know the 668 has a choke, but what make;s this one better

I dunno my brother said there isn't a difference between the 668 and the 990 but that can't be true

The 668 has a low end bog that you can't get rid of. The 990 doesn't have that issue.

These are the specs for the 990. I'm still waiting on the 668 specs.
