it looks like its going to handle good, i like the way the motor is mounted low down and its 4wd can,t wait to see the vids,

Good question! LoL. I plan on racing it at the next club race at Milestone in California. Perhaps a new class could be born. ; ) It will produce faster lap times because of its 4wd.

but you will be up against the likes of the MCD, Nutec, and ofcourse the mighty FG in the 4WD class.

the only thing I can think of why it wouldnt be allowed is coz its sort of a clone. i mean its based on a FS which is based on a MCD and I know some organisers don't allow clones, me personally i like clones and have no problem with them.
 
you need a wheel adapter then you can run hpi tires & rims
im running MXTS all around on my FS buggy

Alright folks, I met with Andrew today for a few hours. We ran it on the Bajacross track at Milestone. I have alot of video and pics. I just got home from a 3 day trip, so give me a day or 2 to get it ready.

The Matrix looks good so far out of the box. Needs some help in places but nothing broke today. We will be doing an extensive testing at another facility in SO Cal over the next 2 weeks as well.
 
haven't met an RC yet that couldnt use a lil "Help" somewhere.

cant wait to see your pics/vids Rob. Still loving the overall look of the rig.
 
It is called BajaCross, and is the style of track that Phatdad perfected in his backyard track called the PhatTrack. We have such a good time in his backyard, but its residential, so Shreadhead from HPIBajaForum rented the Milestone track and made his own BajaCross RaceDay.

Its not for the weak of heart, and will destroy your car if you don't run it properly. I figured if this Matrix can survive 20 laps at BajaCross, it will survive a regular guy just bashing around. Except for a few pit stops to tighten loose set screws and adjust camber, nothing physically broke.

I'll see if I can get a teaser video up tonight.
