I had a deal come up for my old fg vw and the 4wd conversions were on sale for like half off. I have mostly fg and nutech stuff here so it made sense. I stock less replacement parts that way... and I am more an on road guy. the vw is going to be on road...

Let me know what oil you are going to use. Want to change out mine as well. How east is it put put a second steering servo on the matrix 5sc truck? Besides a servo what else do I need?

you need a second servo arm and a long bolt and nut. call it done.

the jet pro really opened up performance but the stock can is much better than most stock cans. I worked with Dino to get the pipe changed a bit as the redcat side pipe would hit the tire when turning. I flattened mine at the end and bent it over. didn't affect performance. then showed Dino the pics and he redesigned the pipe. it also hit the redcat mt tires but the new design it doesn't. just contact Dino direct and mention the cen and the new redcat side pipe. he'll know what you mean. or Just mention the pipe Barry is talking about ;)

I never did change the shock oil. I was more worried about getting steering. it was brutal with one servo but 2 it was a different beast 2 drive... oh and a Y cable. because of the way the servos are mounted you don't have to reverse anything. I used a pair of nutech alloy steering rod ends in this pic, then changed the other side to use the same. I just cut some threaded rod. just make sure to set the servo horn at 90 gegrees when turned in. I marked arrows on my horns in the pic. you might have to try a few sides, especially with a hitec 805 and those big plastic gears

This one shows the bend in the pipe. the added silencer goes out the back and points down and away from the body.

Hey guys I have two of these one with only a little run time and one new never ran or had the body painted if anybody is looking for one or has a buddy looking please shoot me a pm I need to make room for the bajas

HPI baja air filter. I think they are about the best out there myself. I run them on just about all my rc's even the on roads if they fit. huge area, dual filters, comes with spares, outerwears fit. k and n filters are for show. they are terrible for allowing crud in. the stock cen filter shows wear at the screw hole very fast on the aluminum cover, just from the vibration.

and the jet pro redcat side pipe fits. jet pro has recently redesigned the tip on these so they clear hitting the front tire so you won't have to crush the tip like I did

I was thinking of drilling some holes in the aluminum housing which holds the air filter. U think that will do anything? Thanks for all your help.

The belt drive isn't cheap but you do get the side plate, all the parts, the cover etc. it is a big bite but should solve all issues. there's a guy on this forum has the german version of this car and has the belt drive on his.
