This is after 5-6 tanks of fuel, but I had just replaced the driveshaft pins and didn't realize they were 3mm longer (25mm vs 22mm). Since I hadn't noticed the wear until after I replaced them and ran it for an hour, I'm wondering if that caused the issue.Depends on the time it took to get to that point. If only a few tanks of fuel, not typical in my experience. If you have ran several gallons of fuel through it, then yes. They will eventually wear out.
I was wondering if I could get away with that. Do you think upgrading the Center Diff Carrier Mounts to Modified RC Losi 5iveT 2.0 Centre Diff Mount and Brace or Taylor Billet Losi 5T 2.0 Centre Diff Mount Kit - With Rapid Diff Removal would help prevent this at all? I'm sure it'd help with spur gear wear more, but was curious.Normal. You can switch the front and rear cups and keep going for a while more.
Eventually, yes. The only way to reduce this is to run hardened outdrives. Is it typical for the center diff outdrived to wear this much?
