Although the longblock is a great option, I think a main point was missed here.

The CY engine is a fine stock motor... I think it is better to "learn the ropes" on a CY like you did, than shell out for a new motor and then when something goes bad, not have the experience in what to do.
Mine blew a head bolt and it was great taking it apart and getting it back to new. I had nothing to lose in rebuilding and everything to learn and gain.
