Hi all,
I just purchased a new CPI tuned pipe from DDM online for my Redcat MT. I have heard stories of the mounts snapping off and so before I put the pipe on I'd like to know of the mods you've guys have done to keep the pipe on in one piece. So far I've bought some rubber washers off eBay and was thinking of stacking 2 or 3 together through the bolts so it'll absorb some of the shock that would have otherwise went to the pipe.
Another thing I wanted to know was what size bolts are used to mount the pipe to the engine head as the ones supplied are too long?
When I received my pipe there was some sand inside it and on the outside, I believe I got it all out but should I be concerned about this? I've emailed CPI directly and not had a response yet.
Thanks in advance for any input.
