So today I installed the upper and center Vertigo brace today. I had to use damn near every tool in my box.:( I had to re-tap the threads in the front and rear thread holes of the center brace and I broke another allen ball end in the upper brace king pin stop. I wasn't even trying to put a lot of torque on it. This is the 2nd time it's happened. Going to buy a Snap-On set so this never happens again. Did the same job on my 5ive B and it took 20min. Vekta about an hour or more.(n) Wife and kids about to go out and deal with these last minute shopper nuts. I may take the Vekta out for a couple min.

So took her out for about 15min or so and got some footage with my father in laws gopro. Sorry about the footage cause this was the 1st time using a gopro:). The truck started with no problem and ran without issues(for 15min:LOL:). Baby steps...It was a little on the rich side but since I don't know how the previous owner broke the engine in, I'm gonna keep it a little rich and take it easy for about a tank or two.

Well its sounds fantastic, tad rich but it looks like the part(y)
What motor did it come with? you never know you may have landed with a good unit ( lets hope so ) the vertigo top brace is very cool (y) in fact all the kraken vetigo gear is rather nice(y) keep the updates coming in(y)

It came with a Zen 32. I was surprised at how fast it was even tho I wasn't full throttling it. I wanted to run it on the rich side and take it easy on it since I wasn't sure how the previous owner did the break in. I got the braces on one of the DDM DOD. I've been playing with the gopro app on my phone and YouTube editing program so hopefully next time I'll get some better footage at a park or something.

Well Z just as I thought the weather was going to start lightening up we got wimped with some cold azz days. High today was 29 degrees. And when you work in the construction trade like me the last thing I wanna do is come home and go back out in it. I think it's supposed to warm up a little this weekend, maybe 50 degrees so I may take her out after i get off Saturday. Haven't decided yet between RCing or taking my new 9mm for practice shooting. Leaning more towards the 9mm. Lol. I have been doing a little to her in the meantime tho. I put some new red beadlocks on the wheels. I installed the front dirt shield(with much cutting do to the FID pull start and Barty pipe). I ordered a bunch of parts for it but I get the winter blues and don't want to do much when I get home from work. Lol. I also need to make a pull start bracket for it. I saw a guy on YT make a bracket that brings the handle up to a more comfortable spot.

yeah understandable (y) she looks great btw

So...after Z sent me a little motivation the other day I decided to start working on her. ;)I fabricated the raised pull start mount. I think it came out pretty good. Probably wouldn't need it if the ball allen didn't break off in the pull start screw cause I would have rotated the ps counterclockwise so the ps would come out the side. Don't feel like pulling the engine right now and drilling the screw out so instead I spent 4hrs making the bracket.

Thanks. Was tired of all the Vekta bashing on other threads so wanted to take her out for a little run. She is a heavy girl and with the Hostile look-alike tires she digs in hard. I used to be able to slide her around turns with the stock tires but not any more. 4 runs to date, no serious issues. This was a 30min run. Will keep posting videos until something comes up.??
