Right. And to answer your question about putting fuel into the cylinder itself, I did do that as well and nothing happened. Not even a pop.

CY29 is a two bolt, I'd need a four bolt which would be the G290RC

My CY 29 on my mtxl is 4 bolt

Most nee rc engines any more are 4 bolt. Actually haven't seen a 2 bolt for sale in a while.

New engine - torn it apart again, replacing the cylinder gasket, replaced piston ring, nothing happens. Even put gas in cylinder, nothing.

Thinking the zenoah 31.8. I have that in my rovan and its badass now.

I asked ddm this a while ago, and here's what they said '
"Esp Modified means the cylinder is modified for a long stroke crankshaft. Esp Ported means the intake/exhaust and transfer ports have been reshaped. Modified engines with long stroke crankshafts increase total displacement and generally mean more torque. Ported engines generally mean that you achieve higher RPM and higher peak HP"
