Hi guys, im putting a list together of hopups i want to get for the DBXL 2.0 gasser, on my list are:

Chassis brace (front / rear)
Top chassis brace front
Diff housing/casing (is it same part for front/rear & canter) ?

Im not sure if these are the same as the normal DBXL parts or are they specific to the 2.0?

Im looking at the FID hopups but i cant see anywhere that says they are for the 2.0 as they only say DBXL in descrption which is qiuite confusing!?

Also the pipe im looking at is the Mielke pipe which is designed for the 2.0, this one:

Are these decent pipes, ive heard of them over the years but never seen or tried one in use?

Also any other hopups recommended for the 2.0? im a basher mostly so will be throwing some abuse at it so i would rather get the essentials done sooner than later!

Cheers!

Are you getting the FID upgrades off Ebay? If so just type in FID Dbxl 2.0 and it will bring up all the parts that are available.

The diff housings need to be labeled 2.0 and the center diff is a cup and not a housing. Dbxl v1 and dbxl 2.0 parts are not interchangeable. Certain parts from the 2.0E and 2.0 gas are interchangeable.

I was looking on rcmodelz website (im from UK), but guess i will check ebay as rcmodelz doesn't say which parts are for 2.0 :(

ok cheers buddy ;~)

Are there any significant advantages that the hop-up aluminum differential housing/cup compared to the stock plastic parts?

yeah buddy, with the stock being plastic there is some play of the diff outputs which gets worse over time due to wear etc, its common on most largescales, was the same on my FG, with a tuned pipe then there will be more strain than what the stock parts were designed for put on the diff/output so will be a weak point in the drive train.

Fitting ally mounts & casing will remove any play and make the diff pretty much bullet proof ;)
when you go into dbxl upgrades on rcmodelz mate,
scroll down a bit and on the left hand side of the page theres a dbxl 2.0 option to bring up the 2.0 parts only (y)
nice 1 cheers ;)
