well guys my negotiating has started and i have managed to get some banners from a couple of companies for when the track is up and running....lol.....(will let you all now who when we meet up) going to try some some more later.... once we up and running i will go for the kill i;e sponsorship and then discount for members........
+1 mateI'm just blown away by the momentum this whole thing has gained , and the support it has got in such a small space of time :w00t:
AWESOME !!
Hats off to everyone involved !![]()
yeah looking at the other national tracks astro turf seems to be the favorite. Any other suggestions?
yea asrto turf sounds good its a good all year round surface, dirt is good but come winter its a mud bath ,i think astro would be ok laid onto dirt, but how do you keep astro from creasing up like carpet????
no rooster tails on astro turf
but yeah steel pegs would do the job perfect, been thinkin bout people who will be marshals (while not out on track) we guna need some sort of barriers on parts of the track for us to stand behind so we don't get hit of pete (sorry mate) or any other stray cars that come off track, i was thinkin sumat like oil drums cut in half as they can stand some really hard knocks, any other ideas guys ?????
yea mate i think a full on race track would take the fun out of it, and costs would be far to high for a club thats just setting up maybe a bash type track layout would be better made from dirt with berms jumps etc,,then at a later date we could keep improving it astro barriars etc,,we have to walk before we can run as they say.original post was on other thread dohh
Been following this thread ,
a place to call your own sounds cool
is there any more progress with site?
what are the main thoughts for site,, is it for a race track or a bash site where you can run any rc buggy-truck?
me myself wud go for a dedicated bash site rather than race track-set up
if yer go for the race track,, it all goes a bit to serious if yer ask me
then the fun is lost
anyway good luck !
an yer got my backing and prob bajaginge bigjay etc etc
ps
if we set up a dedicated bash site im quite sure it would be unique arekon
