thats good to know, i have seen different seals from boca, vxb and few other places, and they all have the plain jane black seal ones which is the lowest quality seal and bearing, and then they move up to the high end ceramics, being in the auto parts wholesale side for over 20yrs, i have met federal mogul and timkin bearing/seal reps and talked about them over and over, so i have learned even in the hobby/toy world there is a lot of similarities in how things are made,
shoot i emailed TFE when i seen the chixi prefix's and asked about that, but like any business they wont come out and admit it, but i ran the bearing no# over the internet and came up with all the info, but like i said after paying shipping, then paying return shipping and then the 10% restock fee, what would i have left? a few bucks maybe, but like saying goes "fool me once shame on you ,fool me twice shame on me" wont happen again, most bearings you might run into on a KM/Rovan/HPI will be NTN which is japanese, and NCN which i believe is a indian/persian made bearing,or the dreaded cheapest is the low end chinese bearing which there is over 20 different brands,
i mostly get NTN,i have never had a bearing fail on me,be it a 1/8 scale clutch bearing or the 1/5 scale's none so far,
one last thing and i read this on here what someone does, these are considered sealed bearings either rubber or steel, they are all sealed, the seals are not meant to be taken out so you can clean or repack them with grease once removed the actual sealing of the bearing has been breached, bearings are so cheap that it can be thrown away not up to par and replaced, same thing with screws and nuts.
either way just do some research on what your paying for i know it's a pricey hobby, but somethings you expect to be reliable because the seller said it would are not always what they seem, things break thats expected but things should not fail due to low quality passed off as a high quality.
