hi thats cool as, i can see how it would work with an r/c input, i like the way the tyres are the first thing that will make contact rather than bumpers and skids,
last year i did this chassis which was a copy of the fisher buggy, i was stuck on the front end as i wanted a copy of the v dub beam with no shock towers, nearly there now with some torsion leaves in the beam like the orig,
DSC00397.webp
what would you use as running gear, hpi fg mcd etc

hi mate, yes same here , didnt need mega susp travel so i done these swing trailing arms

looking at the pic of the sandrail , if your gonna run trailing arms and hpi baja eng/box set up youve got to watch the clearence with the fan housing so its sometime good to move the eng forward abit

Can you bolt the steering linkage ontop of the drive shaft ? for better clearence and will give it a cleaner look and easier maintenance!

Just a thought lol

nice work chopper! looks great, i like your custom upper arm bracket you fabbed on the hub carrier. shocks are gonna be interesting to see how you solve that. i got some talents with this kinda stuff but never really dove into it. watching you makes me wanna do something custom. maybe not as indepth, but a little something. thanks for sharing.
