Dyno time 🤔

Wow, underwhelming!🤦🏼 What are the numbers on a stocker running the same pipe? Surprised the way the HP curve charts out, didn’t expect such a steep fall off on the plotting?

thers absolutely no way. his dyno is crap. a stock engine making 4.5 hp , and then a whole reed case making only .3hp more? no way. a pipe adds more to an engine then .3. and we know a 34 reed makes way more then a 32 with just a pipe. complete nonsense imo . and even kevin can make more then .3hp even with his jank ass portwork

that does seem really low doug, plus the steep fall off in power and torque from 12.5k seems strange like bizzer said above,

So he tested a zen 32 with his pipe 4.5 hp . 34 with his pipe 4.81hp
im not saying its you or simon. im saying his shed-build looking dyno is saying some false info
Disappointing I know😭

The steep drop is me letting the throttle go👍🏻 Simon will mail me with the results so we can see🤔 also he was saying a twin motor pushes 9hp
This what I said from the beginning 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
I've said it will push 4.5 -5.5hp 🤔 simons say 5-6hp
I wasn't far off the mark👍🏻

hope you post up simons results when ya get em doug (y),
so was the power and torque dropping when ya let off the throttle doug ?
what i mean is you didnt hold it wide open above the 13k or so,
aint this a fresh engine as well, not much fuel through it i mean,
if so it be interesting to see a repeat dyno session after another say 5 or 10 tanks through it, see if theres an improvement in power and torque (y),
i'm interested doug :D

i think this is his older one out of his beater baja (that was originally in his kraken)

Look guy the basic rating for 2 strokes is 1hp per 10cc. Zenoah rates a stock g320 at 3.5hp (which is nominal some will make more some will make less) I wasn't really surprised to see the results. 2 strokes are peaky and fall off the power fast, a reed should have more torque then a piston port, but will fall off fast as well. I'd honestly say, it's an accurate representation of the power difference in modified engines. I would have liked to see a bunch of different pipes on to see where and how the power curve changed.
Anyway. Well done Simon for sharing the Data.

Thanks Sean, it was just my assumption a two stroker would hold the power in the higher revs better. Guess not, learn something new every day! 👍🏻

Thats some good results there Doug.

I'd be happy if my truck had 4bhp with the 30Degrees pipe on it, especially when you consider is only about 20kg. The twin having 9bhp also sounds consistent with it being two 29cc engines bolted together.
As for reed and piston port, that's probably going to effect the responsiveness rather than overall power.
