Tried to search here but couldnt find a similiar problem.
After a few months I started my dbxl 2.0. No problemo at all. Started running after 5 pulls. But when i shut the choke the engine dies. Started with choke open let the enige warm up shut the choke and again engine dies. Anyone knows the problem. The engine was tuned perfectly when i putted away.

Sounds about right, not enough fuel. However your term open and shut are reversed... open choke would be off, and a closed choke is on. The choke is basically another throttle plate on the inlet side that blocks airflow to pull hard on the gas to get sucked in.
If you remove the air filter you'll see it is closed in the on position.
I was confused by your post heading because an engine will not run with the choke closed unless it's bearly able to pull any gas. Usually just a pop then if you keep cranking it will flood with gas. Your carbs diaphragm may have gotten warped from time and not working well

Pump primer bulb till u see fuel in line.Close choke, pull till u get a pop, open choke, pull till it starts. My 5t pops on second pull with choke closed, starts on second pull after opening choke.Been 4 years and even after sitting all winter works every time. I replaced spark plug after 3 months new, break in seems to foul them so they don't last too long. After 1 plug change still have same plug for 3 1/2 years. That was the only time I had hard start after 1st couple tanks.Try a new plug, carberator is french for leave it alone.......

Lol what? He doesn't need starting instructions, he wants to know why it's dying after the choke is off.... it's definitely carb related or he has a massive air leak.

i think your using the choke backwards

Ah ha! The important thing is you found the problem so you can get out there and have fun! Don't worry if we nit pick on the little stuff like what words are front of each back two? By describing what was happening, we still understood what was happening. We are all here to love rc, I am not an English professor, just a mecanic

Absolutely right. I live in the netherlands and can speak read english. But to explain something mechanical can be a little bit tricky. Thanks anyway

It’s ok. We all want the same at the end of the day. A good tank through it with out breakage.
Just one.... lol
