Exhaust joint chewing up gasket

Hello all,
I was gifted a 1/5th Exceed Barca and I know it’s not the best one but it has been working well so far. I put loctite on everything before I even began to run it so nothing would come out. Anyways, I am having trouble with the exhaust joint. It has chewed through the exhaust gasket that is held together by springs. I ordered a 5 pack of gaskets that should be here in a couple of days. I was thinking of putting some rtv on a new gasket but it probably wouldn’t help maybe there is too much gap. How would I go about bending it I’m afraid if I bend it too much it’ll rub against the plastic shroud of the engine or I’ll ruin it? I have a mapp gas canister so it should get hot enough. Should I also get some exhaust strap and figure out a way to stabilize it because the metal hook with rubber on it doesn’t hold it as it slips out? Thank you so much.

I can't get a link but search ebay for 1/5 Baja header clamp.
Not sure if it will fit but I have a similar pipe with one on it.

Something isn't right with that exhaust that looks way off a slight gap is ok but that looks like it is way too far off.Take the exhaust off and see if you put it together off the car if it fits together correctly

I ended up bending it in a door jam to straighten the end that’s crooked. It’s better now but I had to order new springs because they are all stretched out.
