Went to adjust brakes today and could not get failsafe box to work. With radio on,plug battery in,on off switch is eliminated, turns green then red,no flashes, normal for truck.Press channel 3,normally light turns green, but staying steady red.Tried spare brand new box/harness,same thing.I have steering,no throttle or brakes.Found piggyback signal wire pulled out of throttle plug.Repaired with spare male end and spliced wires.Still have same issues, red light,no throttle or brake but have steering.Turn radio off reciever flashes but not failsafe.Eliminated failsafe, got steering but no throttle or brake still. Can see radio display showing correct function of throttle, brakes, steering and failsafe.... Any thoughts before I order parts appriciated.Going to try spare servos tommorow but failsafe box got me baffeled. Also wires on new failsafe are switched ,yellow and white reversed but come out of box correct , same as old one but colors switched .Both are primal factory box. Shoping list new v2 harness, failsafe, reciever and radio. Also going to try spare new reciever tommorow.Thank you my friends, one of us geniouses will figure it out!!!!

Hi Mick

Good day.

This is an odd one.

Any chance that you have the brake servo inadvertently trimmed into the failsafe zone?

ShadOman ,good to hear from you.Hope you are well.Have you finnished that awsome truck, been checking your post.Yes,strange considering other than lack of brakes, truck ran fine last week. The signal wire being pulled out of lead explains brake issue, used 3rd channel to shut off engine like always.Changed nothing on radio_One of those worked fine, shut it down, now i have a gremlin deals.Going to do some swaps/tests later today. Also ordering v4 harness and spare throttle and brake servos for back up.I did stock up on some things and got the v4 steering but have spares to use before that goes on truck. My diffs still holding up and did get new taylor tranny shafts, the latest version, but again nothing broke.I did figure out that where i run truck there is a spot where it goes from grass to concrete and last time tranny shaft broke was right there.Basically same as a on power jump landing........Well cooking some spaghetti salad, substitute spag.for macaroni, then the investigation continues. Will let you know what i find.Enjoy the weekend!!!

Found it,bad brake servo.Guessing the signal wire sent brake servo full lock and burned out.Fail safe seems to realize brake servo not connected correctly and shut down system. Some times simple things need simple answer

Hey gang, got to install v4 harness, new brake servo today.Everything apears to be functional, tight and right. The v4 harness eliminates the y harness for kill switch, that or maybe its for the volt meter.Didnt want my battery in a box and may eliminate the charge wire.Pretty much straight foward install but might make some changes.Picked up nice sevo wire kit on amazon.Came with the safety holders for pugs.Been wanting to do that for a while....I think new harness well worth the price and kinda nice to have a on/ off switch again.Test it out tommorow!!!!!!!

Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit......Brand new brake sevo failed, never even got a single run on it.Sent Dan a message, see what he thinks.Tested on old harness, before installing, new harness and after installing all new stuff....Went to take truck for a run ,plugged everything in and no brake servo.Tested with a different servo and it works but is reversed....Top to bottom, used steering servo that works, old brake servo that burned up from pulled signal wire from old harness, brand new servo that failed with 3 minutes power....Had issues with that type servo in past.Thats why was useing center servo, never a issue till pulled signal wire. The top 2 were steering servos , but thier mates fried before i figured out the servo saver was issue.Oh well life goes on.....

Got a hold of Primal.Sent a email to Dan......sunday around noon.Monday by 9:30 recieved a response. Primal offered to replace my 59 dollar servo with 125 dollar servo and send a shipping label to return bad one and appolagized for issue...........I emailed them back thanking them for such timely response and said that I can not accept the new servo without paying the difference. They sent me a number with a discount and threw in a servo reverse lead to make sure the new one will run in correct direction.....Where else do you find this kind of service???? No where!!!! THANK YOU DAN and everyone at Primal.

I delt with Primal when I bought my truck, and their customer service was over the top. (I delt with Steve myself).
They switched tires and wheels so my mega-truck had larger tires, pulled a rabbit out of the hat and found me an axle assembly so I could add rear steer even though they weren't really in stock, not to mention all the Q&A discussions we had.

I also bought a Baja Shorty and had a problem with a flywheel missing a cooling fin and a hole in the pull-start screen, out of the box.
One email sent, response same day and the next day a replacement at my door with no charge.

Once again, the proof is in the pudding. Great customer service from Primal/Fearless RC!!

I still need to take a trip down to their place, only 1 to 1 1/2hours South from me.

Well,no servo,no answers, don't know who responded to my email because the don't give a name.Got to say very disappointed. Just gonna order new servo and eat the bad one.Anyone running extended wheel base kit with new style swaybars ? Curious if they will fit, running dual shocks with one reservoir.Probably have to put it on front shock and relocate swaybar mount on frame but I guess I'll find out!!!!

So, try them back, maybe a phone call. People sometimes get busy, and things get overlooked. Unfortunately, it is the world we live in today.
Everything I have experienced and heard about their customer service has been positive.
Throwing them under the bus isn't going to help.

Got things straightened out I think. Not bashing Primal in anyway. But they failed to get back to me for 8 days with an issue on thier end and was unknown to me.......I had to connect with them and now wait longer for parts that should not have failed. Not a life ending issue for me just a bit disappointed. I can't find a phone number, please share it with me if you have it.

Thats good news.
Once and a while things happen and unfortunately timing was not in your favor when there was an issue on their end.
Sure it is a bummer that it took longer than expected but problem solved. Glad you got it straightened out.

Got my new servo and new style swaybars today!!!!! Will share how the swaybar install goes with extended wheelbase set that's on the truck.Hopefully don't have to change current shock positions but will see come Saturday!!!!!
