All the drivetrain that I have seen looks to be machined from bar stock except diff gears. I think if it were to be forged like snap-on forges there impact tools there would probably be almost no breakages and better wear resistance. And if angular contact bearings were to be used instead of radial bearings the drivetrain would have less slop and last longer.
 
Broken many, many snap on tools..... and I think they use radial bearings because of cost and availability. The drive trains typically don't give much fuss, especially once you have a few bits upgraded.
 
Literally depends on the power plant. Anything over a 50cc and they are a time bomb. Anything under a 50 and you should be good to go

You have a good point sometimes I over think things and I know the cost would be much higher.
