I have stuff re-anodized all the time, no issues. Detroit can do the same thing and have them anodized a different color. Just need to ask him.

I did anodizing for years. The color difference will be very slight. It's not super noticeable on some colors even

Glue up tires? So you don't want to do beadlocks?

I got some on road tire gear for parking lot runs that look like they need to be glued but I couldn't really get the inner foams or wheels to fit, haven't actually glued anything yet for 1/5 scale! Maybe we don't glue in large scale?

Plenty of choices for nice wheels.

Most of the time it isnt necessary to glue them, but when your running high power with beadlocks it isnt a bad idea to glue them to.

..and u need to make sure the tyres have all been seated in the lugs on the rims and beadlocks r right and tight.....can b a ball ache sum times to get them all lined up?

Get you some zero growth foams and gorilla tape the inside of the tires. That outta do the trick ??
