where can u get that body u have on ? the one in black with monster sign on it? if you have ny link to get it?

If you mean mine with Monster Engery logo's, that's my Elcon Cleon. The body would be around $150 or more for you but not sure it it will fit. Here's a pic without the body on:

would the new 4wd drive kit for the fg buggy slow down the speed? i only drag race on asphalt, i know it would be better for traction but just want to know if it will slow down speed alot or just a little?

The 4wd kit will slow down what you have now. If you like to drag on pavement I would get a 2speed instead. Still pricey but less than a coversion kit.

does it make a difference in the length of the track to drag race with the 2 speed? the track is maybe about 300ft or so, so was not sure if the track was to short for the 2 speed.
with the 2 speed what do you gain in speed, is it just top end speed or also low end?

Well I have my friends Comp for some wrenching. He just got a ESP 27 - 4 bolt Zen that's race ported for it. I offered to switch engines for him while he's at work today. I picked it up yesterday and started last night. I found a few things that slowed me down.

First one being that I had to switch the coupling flange (FG8345). On FG's they are cut to fit the large motor mount. Once I switched those I had an Elcon clutch to install. He had already built it so it was rather painless to just pop it on. Replaced all the fuel lines with a tough clear line so we could see the fuel. The black hose is crap anyway. I just put a zip tie on the gas feed line so I know which is which and don't mix them up.

Once everything was switched and mounted I tried to fit the new engine back in. To my surprise something was holding it back. The 4wd has everything so close and tight it was hard to see what was holding it back. I removed the engine and compared it with the stock Zen26. Turns out that the bottom case is a bit different. There is a spot with a threaded hole that needs to be ground off. If it isn't it won't allow the right part of the engine to be flush with the chassis. The rear portion where the 3 bearings are used to keep the belt down hits it!! After some cutting, grinding and filing it was done. No to mention my dremel works half of the time since the spring inside is broken so it took longer. :helpsmilie:

I also noticed one of the rear cable brake lines broke and I was lucky to have a spare cable lying around.

What a night!!! Started around 10pm and went to bed around 1:30am.

Now today I just need to clean and install the rollcage, wheels, and body. Then I'll be done!! All this while watching over my 5 month old while the wife does our taxes. :cool2::cool2:

I would so love to buy an FG 4wd. I check every thread and drool over the pics but the cost in one shot is huge. I almost want to build one up like the semi, a bit at a time. It always costs more but I can sneak the parts in without the shock on the bank account (and no complaints from inside the house hehe)... maybe I could do a layaway plan... I mean hell, it costs more than the 1:1 I am driving

I plan on getting the regular 4WD in a month or 2. It will be coming down from the Neitherlands. Seems to be the best price when he gets them in.
