I'm always talking outta my ass but I'm not totally wrong here. I had to slide fuel tubing over the bottom barbs to get a snug fit in grommet and getting tubing over the freaking top barb was a un needed chore. Idk about everyone elses set ups but 90deg don't work for me.

Sounds like your grommet holes were stretched due to the fuel line being in there for an extended period of time. I thought of that issue and bought a new grommet to avoid that issue (y)

It's a common complaint with the kit, even with new grommets that come with the kit. Had the same issue with mine on the dbxl. Wasnt terrible to deal with, but was a pain in the arse.

Um so far 2 of the 3 1/5 scales I've owned worked fine with the 90* fittings and if I'm thinking right the vekta will work beautifully with 90* fittings as well. I'll figure that out later this week.

I love the 90 degree fittings aswell, cleans it up alot and doesn't interfere with my air filter. Never had to use fuel lines on the barbs either, your grommet is probably fecked

Sean if I remember right ffrc revised their kit "v2" now. And with the dbxl they even mention doing the fuel line "trick" https://www.fullforcerc.com/5B004X
Ah yeah I cut the hole out in the dbxl tank to fit the grommet they sent with for the baja ? still had to do the fuel line trick. It works just fine after that. Wasnt a big deal tbh.

I like the look and quick access to my quick connect fittings. With the 90deg they would be hidden under or next to filter. This is much better for me but to each is own. I did buy the ffrc kit so I think it looks cool too but not worth the hassle for me.
