Go with a Futaba. I have run both Futaba and Spektrum and not had issues with either but moving from a Spektrum to a Futaba and the feel and percieved difference in quality is far better. I have the 4PKS and the range and features are excellent.

If you don't need the features get the 3PL but then again the 3PMX is Fasst so you got a decision.

The Futaba 3PL are going pretty cheap, bout $100.

the PL would do fine, but as you grow, you would be best suited to buy a radio that can grow with you. the 3PK does have more usable options.
