Yesterday I was driving my Fg monster with a g260rc just for fun. I was driving down the field at near max rpm when the engine started sounding a bit off. It would idle at really high rpm and bogg down when throttle was applied. What I can get out of it is an air leak. The carb, fuel lines and the carb gasket are all new so thats hopefully not the problem. Could there be anything else than an air leak causing this? And what would be the best way to check this small off an engine for leaks? Or should I just change all the gaskets and try again?

Thanks.

also try and start it again now mate, while its cold
could have been heatsoak from engine to carb,
so the bulb on carb empties and ya somtimes get the symtoms ya said

Tried to start it later. It would rev up and then die. Would only run with the needle screwed out a lot more than it should be.
Sounds like a very lean condition. What's your needles set at
Factory settings + some tune. It changed mid run.
