don't see why not, you might want a lower spur gear and higher pinion for on road for less torque and more top end becuase running on road requires less torque cuz ur not pushing through grass and dirt which causes resistance. i cant suggest a gearing ratio tho cuz i know nothing about losi 5t gearing lol

Why not put 21/22 pinion coz a 45 should have enough low down grunt for pull off ?? bigger pinion will give you more top end??

I have a 23 on it already its on 23/54
