Just wanted to say what a great customer support RedCat has going right now. I had my steering server take a crap on me yestetday. After a simple email to warranty about my issue they sent me an email back stating that it IS a covered item and that a new one is on the way. That email was followed by another email showing it had been packaged and shipped already. Now I understand that the stock servo is junk but I was not ready to dish out $100 for a new one. this is great news for me as I was disappointed I wouldn't get to enjoy this car until I buy a new one.

A+++ GUYS: :)

I'm glad they took care of you.

Check those end point adjustments. You can burn that stock servo out in about 5 seconds.

Where should those end points be? Right where the steering Max's out on each side when fully turned correct? Ill have to check. This Dx3s has so many options I still haven't figured them all out and I've owned it for over a year now lol..

The servo should stop moving right before the linkage stops. If your good at setting it up, the servo should top at the exact end of the linkage travel. The cars don't come set up so it needs to be part of the prerun check list. The cheap little servos that come with the cars can not handle being under power with no place to move.

Remember don't leave your transmitter on just sitting doing nothing ,that will burn up a servo.What I mean is don't leave your radio on for a extended period of time.

Cordy is correct.

Also never have the receiver on and not the transmitter. Always turn the transmitter on first and off last.

I never leave it on for no reason and I do start up and shut down as you stated. I did not know about travel tho. I already looked into it and both throttle and steering are set at 100% which seems to be a little passed the Max on the steering rack. Throttle is perfect but steering will have to come down alittle.

Very interesting, I never knew I could adjust that....damn fancey controllers with all of their nifty functions lol..

The shutting off the transmitter first can kill the servo instantly. If the failsafe is on, it normally hammers on the brakes past the range of travel. It burns out quick.

I adjust my EPA so the servo stops before it puts a load on the servo saver. The stock servos are crap, though. I ditched mine as soon as I got the MT. Not worth the hassle.
