I was cleaning my Losi engine a week ago and after an entire summer, the grass between the flywheel cover and coil was so packed i needed to use a screw driver to break it up and then use 150 PSI air pressure to blow it out. After seeing this, i had to come up with something to keep grass from being sucked in by the flywheel and collecting.
I found some copper screen and covered the air filter side and the bottom (the rotation is clockwise when looking at it from behind) so i didn't worry about the battery side as that's where the air comes out. I bolted it down to unused mounting holes on the engine.
