I also have a smartech.its a thunderbolt it has a 3 bolt head r they any good.never noticed until i was lookin to do some hop ups.also who makes pipes for it? thanx Ildy...

Swap out that 3 bolt head for any other motor and you will get a instant increase in power. Unbolt the 3 bolt head from the crank case and you will see why the transfer ports and exhaust are so tiny. Ddm would sell pipes to suit the thunderbolt. Upgrade both and it will be a completely different buggy. :)
 
Thanx man i have a spare 30.5 that keeps blowin head gaskets.i was going to buy a esp head kit for it. hopefully it takes care of the problem.or i c that a 27.2 take out complete is $200 its a 4 bolt.i don't no yet i got a mt project i need to start,strippong it down polishing chassis and puttin on all cf sleeves on cups.and installing a new gizmo 30.5 zen prolite.and and xt project thats needs alot of help. Man i'm all for cloning...i could use the help...lol....its like i want all my projects done at the same time...any one else like that...lol...
 
Oh ya dude I got 3 complete projects going on my dune runner , xb needs a lot and my tt that's my current one
 
Yep I've got my 5b that was finished and running brilliant now I need to get some rear shocks for it and a new steering servo as I stripped the parts to use on my other two.

"Hanger Queen" I think every Naval Air Squadron has one. Funds get low or Supply can't get the parts. Every 90 days it gets built up to fly and a different bird is the new "Queen". ;)
