Have you tried without the boost bottle? Not tried them myself based on the bad press on here - apparently they can cause big problems with tuning & performance. Might be worth removing it and re-tuning to see what the difference is before getting a new head. The zen 26 is a decent engine so unless its well worn it could be something simple??

Remove the boost bottles. I noticed yours has an issue on the low end take off in the video. It sounds a bit rich in the bottom end. What clutch spring are you using? You will need a high one with 4wd IMO. What is your filter set up?
HOw old is the motor? You may just need a new ring.

well noticed.... k ill get the boost bottle off.....got the 8000 spring and i did ring it a while ago.....about 6 tanks ago....its a nice little engine.....ive got a wt668 carb.. its seems to run good at 1 3\16 low end and 1 3/4 on high,,,,am i in the right field????

Not sure what the gearing is on your rig. Not familiar with the MCD's. I would say I have read several times that 4wd needs a bigger torque motor then a standard 2wd. My MT is stock FGMT gearing, 26cc and has great power and take off. Its not 4wd which may allow it to do that. I would think a quick top end swap with a 30cc would make a big difference. I swapped out my Baja with a 27cc and its a great little monster. Not sure what it would do for 4wd?

Good luck. Would love to see it take off like the beetle you where running with....

give it a go mate the problem with yours is its 4wd and extra friction due to more drivetrain it takes that little bit more to get it moving once its moving its ok,,,,but what ever you put in it your still not getting past me oddie makes sure of that,,,,,,or you could go to plan b and start useing the full alloy leo youve got gathering dust

my local hobby shop was fixing and tuning a 1/5 scale buggy with boost pipes but took them off as they couldnt get optimum tuning out of it and new there was more power to ring out of the motor.what are the power figures for the obr 27.2, i know the figures arnt that important but i would like to know! thanks
