*First of all just to be clear, when I say "idiot", I am referring to myself!*
This forum and others like it helped me in a lot of ways to make my purchase in large scale R/C. All the information I got was/is very helpful and I read a lot of useful information. But all the information provided, all the knowledge by posters of things they have already experienced and shared with others makes me wonder WHY this Idiot did not listen to one of the most important safety issues. DO NOT RUN WITHOUT A KILL SWITCH! I spent $33 on a alloy steering tray, $140. for two strong steering servo's, $160.00 for a cool pipe, and $50. for some cool looking paint. Now I knew what everyone said about kill switches, but why didn't the idiot listen? I guess some people need to learn the hard way! I'm usually not a "cheap" person and I don't know why I skimped on this. No people were hurt but the idiot looked like a fool. When it happened the throttle/brake servo went at wide open throttle but steering was working. I shut off the radio so it would just run in circles hoping it would just flip but that darn Nutech TBIII with monster tires just wouldn't flip. Then the idiot tried to tackle it! Yeah, it was a panic decision, and didn't work. I was so afraid of the exhaust, I half ass'ed jumped on it which in turn I bumped the wheels straight and away she went!!! Across the park, under a fence, across the ball field, and into another fence which flipped it and I could kill it. After gathering it up and walking home, my wife said "did you break it again"? I told her the story and she called me an "IDIOT"... That's my new name!
DO NOT RUN WITHOUT A KILL SWITCH!!!!!
