Has the coil slipped , is there decent, compression, are the lines the right way round, is there fuel delivery....etc. We need more info.

Also ,make sure that the butterfly is opened enough ,the idle screw is set proper ,an the transmitter throttle
trim hasn't been moved to where it closed the butterfly off too much!

Always check the little things first!....(y)

Simple first step, replace sparkplug with a new one, go buy some automotive starting fluid, give a short blast down the carb and try to start. Report back what you find.

Well I had a KM Baja and the engine was good for about two gallon then it wouldn't fire at all. I checked and double checked everything and then when I split the engine I realised it was knackered. I bough a Zenoah and never had a problem.

The compreshion is fine and the coil iam not sure what u mean by slipping cuz its got spark
More info would help.

The clunk is in the tank. It’s a filter. If it’s a used engine you purchased from someone else that “hasn’t ran in awhile” I would be skeptical honestly. I have been having issues with a new clone motor, a used one could be a basket case, I don’t know what redcat puts in their vehicles. I’m new to the 1/5 scale stuff but, if I were you I wouldn’t waste too much time on it because it will just frustrate you. Invest in a new motor perhaps. The zenoah stuff seems to be legit but many have never had problems with the clone stuff.
The coil needs a business cards gap between it and the flywheel. The screws come loose sometimes. Remove the cover that is behind the pull start and give it a look. That’s what he means by it could have slipped.
You can try dumping a little fuel down in the cylinder and see if it tries to start. Don’t over do it though, just a little bit will do, like a few to several drops.
It’s an initial upfront cost for a new engine but, in the long run will be a short route to a start up and you will be much happier. You can check my build thread and see what I’ve been through. I’m not selling you on anything other than help.
I would replace the clunk for sure. DDM sells them.
