I have found one of the best ways is to use a dremel with a tiny cut off wheel. Dremel a slot into the head of the screw then use a flathead screwdriver, will come right out. Never have not been able to not get one out this way

that as well is a good option, except its only good for bolts that arent countersunk, if u use one on a countersunk bolt ull just mess up the part as well.

Id assume so by the design, I've with sum torx screws when doing things on the bmw, but those u didnt need o torque down alot as they were going into plastic, my question is how they hold up to high torque

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:I've had to jam allen wrenches into them when the heads get stripped out by worn torx bits . They do last longer than hex/allen heads

oh ok, so what i gather is torx isnt much better than hex. i always heat the screws which have loctite, don't wanna risk it.

Torx drivers always seem to want to jump back out of the bolt head.
It may just be smaller ones that do it as I've never used car sized ones.

At work we are slowly switching everything over to Torx from Hex bit and Phillips bits . The heads don't strip out as easy as hex and phillips do . . I'm the lucky one that gets for fix these when they fail . Hex bits round off way to easy. And phillips bits are junk too.

philips are the crappies bits ever, those strip if you look at them wrong in my experience. i guess torx is the best u can get
