That's Funny as hell...

So we are leaving this cursed rock in a few months and I really want to have a great house for my son to grow up in... However, my issue is 1: I am in CUBA and doing it all on the internet... and 2: My amazing wife has already promised me a man cave basement.

Why is this 2nd issue a problem? Because I am looking at houses and only comparing the basements!!!! ha ha ha Im so selfish.

Well, my next stop is Fort Leavenworth, KS... right in the middle of tornado hell... I wouldnt dream of buying a house without a basement in that location. Almost all houses have a basement of some type there. I am trying to talk my wife into one that already has a really nice wet bar downstairs... ha hah a

I also do leatherwork and need a space for all that... so my basement will be my mancave, leathershop, bar, and hopefully a spot for my rc stuff too... seeing as how the motorcycles have to take the garage (priorities).

As Deluge stated, basements are very hard to come by in AZ. I was born in MN. I can remember the basement we had when I was a kid. I'm lucky enough to have a large garage to mess around in. Basements are still better. The garage gets quite warm in the summer. You mentioned wet bar? I added this to my home last year. 3 flavors of beer and a liquor dispenser for the cocktails. :D

SEE? RC Dad gets it... I want to be like him. All the RC parts I need and a bar too...

Next you're going to tell us your wife is a Victorias Secret model.. ha ha ha

That is a great place to relax, dude... exactly what I am looking for.

Lol..

She doesn't pose for them, however she spends plenty there. That's one thing I would never complain about! :D

My wife spend weeks and weeks house hunting. After two/three years I got so fed up with it I decided to block the website (wrong move :-P, but it was more like a practical joke), after that we found an house, which we live in right now and we enjoy it very much. I don't have a basement, but my 'own' room for my photo, rc and dj hobby. Life it's so much better with it!

Good luck in finding yours, from experience it takes a long time and is quite a process, especially when you have kids. I guess it's even garden when your not able to visit the house. We visited around 20...

It is not fun... but being in the military this is not my first rodeo finding a house... There are plenty to look through though and we are just saving up all our favorites and getting finances together so that as soon as we get back to the states, we will go on a little tour of homes and make an offer on the one my wife loves the most... She is the one who has to be happiest with it, I practically live at work most of the time.

You know.......

IMO looking at houses is actually the fun part. The moving is what sucks!

Leavenworth, WASHINGTON.

Say Joe? If you are going to be looking for a high quality area to raise your kids when you retire, check out Leavenworth, Washington- the state. This is without a doubt THE most diverse place in America. In the Wenatchee national forest alone- there are approx 10,000 miles of forest service roads. count the roads used to log years ago- 30-40 K. A lifetime of alpine lakes to hike into- You can ski-inner tube on mission ridge -and on the same day with a 50 mile drive be in the columbia basin- a simi arid desert with 10s of thousands of lakes made by Grand coluee dam and the columbia basin irragation project. In my opinion, there is no better place on earth to raise a son or daughter. Hundreds of miles or horse-dirt bike- mountian bike trails ranging from easy to off the chart extreme. four wheelers are banned!! yaaaa!!!- only allowed on forest service roads. Leavenworth is at the end of the Wenatchee valley- Seattle is 120 miles away- via stevens pass or swak-snowqualmy pass- From Wenatchee, WA,- go up the columbia river -hwy 97 -75 miles th lake Chelan. the water in this natural lake is air!- you can see about 100 ft - I could go on about this North central washington forever- I was born in 11 worth- raised in this area.- the apple- pear capitol of the world.- The electric rate payers OWN the huge dams on the upper reaches of the Columbia river- cheapest electric in America by far. check it out dude!!

When i say diverse- its the gelogy-climate-in a 200 mile circle, you have the wettest rainforest on earth- deserts-simi arid deserts- year round snow covered peaks- the seattle area- to the east- Spokane- deer-elk-bobcat-wolf-game birds-sturgon-trout-bass-on and on- I was hired by certan people to hike the woods on grave yard, i hunted the ultimate. humans, not to kill or harm- to haul there asses out of places they did not belong. never hurt anyone at all- An intresting summer to say the least.- I will say- there are creatures in those woods that are not in the books- timber cat-and the big thing that walks upright- thats all i will say- www.wenatcheeworld.com.- yea every time i post- ------ takes all kinds of people- i am proof positive.
