Yes but the mower shops cant be bothered to keep their dyno calibrated. So their figures would be way over I guess and I want to have as accurate as possible
 
Stock G230rc/04 motors are punching out 3,6hp at 14.000 r.p.m!
Stock G260rc/04 motors are kicking out 3,9hp at 14.000 r.p.m! Both have maximun r.p.m of 19,500 rpm. These figures are without tuned pipes!
 
the Zenaoh G260RC owners manual states a stock 260 without a muffler is 2.8 hp (2.78 i think is the number they printed), 2.4ish with stock can installed.
where did you get those number Marder? they seem pretty big compared to those in the manual from Zenoah. is that with tuned pipe? which would make more sence.

What motor would you guys recomend? im reeeealy planning on buying the baja 1000, and their are a lot of motors to choose but i want reliability and im not keen on upgraded clutches yet , would a 29 cy be a good start or a 26 then have it ported later, or is the 30. out of the question
 
for that truck, an ESP 30.5 head kit with full port and reed.
or the new ESP Zen 27.2 with full port and reed.
both available at DDM and then you ll need the reed and work done to add it.

Those FG figures are certainly NOT with a stock canister exhaust. Have a look at the real bible, the actual Zenoah manufacturers ones:

the only thing i can think of when FG made their "HP" claims is they have some sort of Euro/American HP calculator where our 2.8 became their 3.9. kinda like the current Curency Exchange rate. 1hp American HP is worth 1.482 hp Euro! lol

i have seen on some european webshops that claim almost 5hp out of a stock 29cc. so i bet its just measured different overthere. marderbeet i would go with the 27.2 that timmahh recomended. i thinking about trying one in my mt5.
 
don't know what kind of HP I'm putting out but its raped ape fast! Doug piston ported my already ESP engine, added a Proline Reed, and a local hobby shop had the WT-257 carb ported for 65 bucks. plus iridium plug and the 2 speed. The way I test for speed is running against 1/8 and 1/10 scales...only two have beat me..a tricked out JATO running a novarossi ported motor..76mph and the guy showed me the vid to prove it. And a Serpent Vector doing insaine speeds. Other than that no one can beat me.
 
Much is depending on the exaust and air intake you use.

In Europe the most 23cc have around 5 HP depending on the tuner.
The engine i use has 5 HP and 2.7n/m torque but i don't know the type exaust my tuner uses, i think FG bigpower or Samba 5.
 
The FG numbers are HIGHLY exaggerated.....
And when FG says 3.9HP on a std. Engine, sellers of other engines has to use similar unrealistic power figures, in order to sell their engines.

An Oddified Heli Tune 26cc with an FG BigPower pipe makes around 5.5hp.
The FG BigPower engine on a std. 23cc Zenoah makes around 4.4 to 4.5hp on the same Dyno as the Oddified engine is tested on.
