It depends where you run. If you run in the grass, it helps. Grass tends to get sucked in around the flywheel.
 
Keeps the grass out and large dirt /dust off the air filter.

I run in grass now and then, I used widow screen and velcro over 80% of the car too...

I would recommend in grass 100% as my my mt kept dying on me from grass getting shoved up on the coil causing no spark. Another thing I got was the slammer damn crank cover just like the outerwears but its cheaper so I got that and now my engine keeps on keepin on
 
that's great to hear then as i'll be riding on the grass like 95% of the time. so i guess i might have to get a couple then.

andy, i saw an outerwears shroud for the 5b & i thot of making a shround for the rampage chassis. i didn't think of using window screen tho. if we could get like a roll of the outterwears fabric or something like it we could make our own. this'd help stop not just grass & sand but moisture too. hmmm, if only...

That a great mod. You can also just use some wire mesh and shoe goo. Local stores will have what you need.

Well now after using them & seeing the crap they kept out I'm glad I got these. They stopped a lot of small stuff. Cleaning them was just like removing the lint of the trap in a dryer. Def glad I got these. Now, if only I could jeep the rest of my ride clean lol. Sure would be nice to have a shroud like the hpi & losi's.
