i dno yet mate rcmodlez said thay will look at it and see if its somtin to doo with manufacturing problim and they said thay will replace it but i need to send it off

Make a list of all the faults you have had with your KM, give em hell & insist on an exchange engine.

yea tell them you.ve had now,t but pissing about with this buggy a new motor is now,t to them must cost them 50quid, or just ask for a new car i would:mad::mad:

From the looks of the threads on the end of the crank it may have never been tight and was stripped. It would have worked fine until the flywheel moved back an forth during use allowing the pin to move out. The flywheel would then just spin until moving back and locking with the key once again. That would be a lot of stress and heat on the crank and would not be a good thing for any of the parts of the motor. With the crank bad, the bearing in need of replacement, oil seals, rotor, nut, and key. Get an upgraded motor......
The key should be half moon and it looks flat in the photo. Was the key put in upside down?

i think the key shot of mate when i pulled the string it was like a half mone shape i think pablo said he has a botom end and he will use both motors to make one but im ringing rcmodlez later and see what thay say

cuz they prob been chewed up dude, just find out the size & check ebay or google it, i picked up a pack of 10 about 4 weeks ago which are double sealed for my wheels for less than £8 ;) & so far theyve been great! ...if you buy bearings from a model shop you will prob end paying lots more for the same thing :)

I'm not a big fan of the KM motor. Not sure if they make a different style more like the CY or Zen without the clutch side part of the bottom end? I have never been able to get the tuning just right. Between the carb not adjusting just right and the mill not being the best performance will never be perfect in the model I have. I personally will not put money other then a pipe into the stock KM motor and will replace it with a Cy or Zen. You will be money ahead with replacing it instead of sticking more into it.
The 29cc mill is not the best in the Cy's. I can't imagine the plating would be any better with KM but I could be totally wrong.:o

An investment into a new motor will save you in the end.

After looking again at the photo the pin was inserted wrong way up. The only way the cast aluminum could wear the metal key - well there isn't. It looks like the moon shape was against the crank and was not enough to hold in the slot. It gave way and spun in the crank wearing the key and spinning in the flywheel.
Not a motor problem but an installation problem.

just spoke to rcmodelz they said that its not curved underwarinty because i aparintly nose dived it at deeside so any 1 think that i should get the parts to fix it ?? it will only come to £24 acording to rc modlez ????

If its only £24, buy the parts to fix it & get it running then buy the engine of Voo & ebay the KM engine as a runner then you will get most of your money back  :D:D Good idea or what :badair::badair:
