The work truck is broke, so I got a rental Jeep Wrangler and put it thru the paces. Whoo wee, fun! Whoopie doos, loose sand, gravel, 4 Hi up a steep trail with deep loose sand on the curves, it handled it. Big tires, short wheel base made it all easy. Didn't get a chance to run it on the rock crawl up the mountain to one of my radio sites. Too bad it's too small to be my full time work wheels! :D Had to give it back after one day, it had been sold. So now I'm running a Jeep Liberty 4X4. OK, but it isn't a Wrangler.

The work truck is a F250 SC short bed 4X4. After 160,000 miles the ECU is glitching every time I hit a bump and goes into limp mode. ECUs are currently back ordered until mid November. Might try for another Wrangler. TOO MUCH FUN!

I love my Wrangler!
Do you have it there on the rock? Does the good ol' US of A move it for you when you transfer back to the main land? Just curious......

Yep... right here with me... and it will be getting on the barge to tow back to the states in just a couple of weeks.

In fact, all my stuff in my house leaves in 4 days!!! 2 more months and I wont be "Guantanamo Joe"... just "Joe" ha ha ha :D

a big tree by my house is now mostly in the yard... the ocean went out of control and all our beaches are washed away. Several boats are now sitting in the marina parking lott and a few roofs gone- but no injuries here on the base that were reported. pretty exciting regardless

Nice to hear everyone came thru OK. Only been to Gitmo once, in the '80's, same time as the Challenger blew up. On a R&D mission, didn't know anything had happened until Gitmo Approach said something. Went to the flight deck and found out they didn't say anything becuase of the civs on board. Bad call on the flight deck's part.

So, what's next Joe?

Gitmo to Kansas, that'll be a climate change. Been spending time in the walk in freezers at the Galley to get acclimated? Ain't nothing but 5 strand barbed wire between Kansas and the North Pole! ;)

Im looking forward to being able to walk out in my yard without breaking a sweat... I love the heat (originally from Texas) but after 2 years, I welcome the winter with open arms (and a heavy coat)

Been in and around that alley most of my life... seen quite a few twisters!

Not to jack the thread, but my wife said I could get a Losi 5ive for Christmas... I've read a few reviews and seen a couple of videos- is it worth the steep cost?

It makes the MT look small. :D

I need a reason to buy a RC Max 70cc. Just waiting for conversion parts to be more readily accessible .
