Prob old news but I will just post my experience with the fueler version 1.0 and 2.0. The old version leaked a lot. I tried everything I could think of to stop the leaking but it just wasn't doing much. I still liked the idea and convenience of carrying full pods and filling up as needed. When I broke my trucks out of storage I went looking for a quick system again. I found version 2.0 but I also found out the Kraken doesn't seem to carry them but Daves had some so I ordered 2. When they arrived I tested both for leaks and was happy to find they were tight as could be with zero leaks. I used one to fill my truck and went driving. I tried the same pod again the next day and found it leaked like crazy. Fuel all over my baja and in the garage. I wasn't sure if it was leaking at the cap or out of the ball valve. I realized it was the ball valve. I had hoped maybe the O rings were just old and I could swap them. I contacted Daves b/c Kraken isn't answering support during COVID and they didn't know what size O ring to use either.
No matter bc I don't think the ball valve O ring is replaceable anyway. Most valves like this I have seen are a 2 piece design with an O ring or seal on top of the ball and one beneath with a housing that sandwiches the ball between 2 pieces. This has no bottom and it is open to the fuel so there is no way to tighten the O ring on top (which is the single thing that stops fuel from leaking out of the sides of the ball). If its not gas resistant either it will degrade fast. My unused one is very tight on the valve and requires pressure to open. The leaky one was tight but after first use is now very easy to turn telling me that there is no tension on the single O ring and it may have degraded due to fuel. If it was a 2 piece design I could open it up and either swap the ring or tighten it down so that it compresses against the ball. Removing the valve handle simply loosens the ball but does not allow for its removal or any easy way to swap out the single O ring. If this was a 2 piece housing it would be very simple and it should have 2 O rings rather than 1 to stop any leaks.
I am disappointed and decided to go with a 3 gallon VP Racing can and a fuel tube with an aluminum valve. I gave the Kraken Bullet as fair a shake as anyone but its just not working for me.
