I thought the stadium ran the same gearing as the marder...but I could be wrong.

I think the only options for the lay shaft are 14/15?/16. Don't think the engine can move enough to do anything larger.

I think you are right after doing some searching here's what I came up with.

Stock Monster 16/48/14/48 10.29:1
Stock Stadium 18/46/16/48 7.67:1
Stock Marder 18/46/16/48 7.67:1

So, I am going to try a mix of the ST and the MT with a 16/48/16/48 which would give me a final drive of 9.00:1. I guess I'll see what that does...

If that isn't enough I will try 18/46/16/48 for a final of 8.76:1

Thanks for the help Ducky...

hey trip you should go for the same set up as i run at the moment,it is the elcon set up but i presume fg would have the same size gears,or would they?and trust me when i ran it it is amazing in every department.

clutch pinion is a 19tooth with a 45 tooth spur gear.
layshaft is a 16tooth with 48 on the diff.

some set up...
if you can get these gears on yours trip it will be perfect.

I can't afford the Elcon... I couldn't have your numbers with a stock style setup. I am stuck with what is written above in my last post..

But thanks though,

no trip they don't have to be elcon im talking about that size gears....

i presume fg gears can be got in them sizes?
or am i wrong.....? crap maybe i am,i think they surely have to be available.

don't think you can go any bigger than the 16 on layshaft because the pinion would be too big and you would have to machine the back of your engine to allow for the size of a 17tooth.

also you would need like a 46 diff to suit that or smaller....

16/48,18/46, 20/44, 22/42 are the only pinion and spur combos available w/o going to Elcon. A 16 tooth layshaft gear is the biggest I could find. There are a few more options, but I am not changing my rear diff gear...

sorry if this is a really dumb question but..

you know how the spur gear is really close to the rear top arm on the monster

if i got a bigger pinnion and smaller spur so it would clear the arm what gearing would i need if that even exists..?

You could drop to a 46/18, or go for the alloy rear hubs which will raise the rear top arm slightly, or go for alloy top arms which will prevent the flex and sprocket eating...lol
