I'm not good with time, but pretty sure it's over 20 years since I bought my first Baja. There have been some recent threads about leaking at the gas tank bung and I just had mine leak when I got it back in shape, turning it over and around. I have since received replacements, but my fix will stay until I need them. I think they are getting to a certain age.

I took teflon plumbers tape and folded it in half, so it was about 1/4 inch wide and did 3 wraps around the undercut. I cut the tape before and after, usually I just tear it, but I didn't want the tear threads on this getting in the tank. Plugged it back in and shook tank, then left it standing on that end and no leak.

Those are just generic, you should be able to use the one ddm sells for like baja, losi. You mentioned threads? Is that threaded on that? Usually they are just push in with some compression.
