Hi guys i have been building this for a while but due to moving house and my work schedule it was put on the back burner for a while. Anyway here are some completed photos of my electric FG LEO 4 COMP.

A few quick stats, the motor is a NEU 2230 1Y rated for 10000 Watts but will go higher as long as the load is there and the batteries can deliver, which they can.
The speedy is a MGM 40063 rated for 400Amps
The batteries are Thunder power 6s 5000mAh 65C packs in series.

That motor is a BEAST!!!
400A ESC - is that continuous?
What's it's max burst current?

Nice effort.
Al.

That motor's certainly capable of that!!!
I find the peak/burst current limit of the ESC a bit low cf the continuous for an on-road.
There's normally a factor of 2+ between the two.
If the continuous is 400A, I would have expected to see a burst of ~1kA.

Defo like to see a video of it in action, with all of that power!!
Al.

Atmo alot of the larger speed controllers that can handle 8s or higher are really two smaller ones paired on the same board. I would also be very suspect of wild claims of tiny speed controllers that say they can handle huge amps, where does all the heat go????

Looking at other companies like shculze their largest controller will do 330 continuos and around 400 burst.
