To all the XBE owners who have the Leopard 5692, what Kv to you have, how many Lipos are you running, and on what ESC?
I currently have a CC 1717 in my XBE, and I am having a hard time keeping the temps down. I am running 6S. Since I am having trouble keeping temps down on my CC 1717, I am figuring I need a stronger motor. The way I drive I am draining my 6S 8000mAh (2 6S 4000mAh in parallel) setup in ABOUT 10 min.
I had the stock ESC until recently. It suddenly lost the ability to accurately tell cut off voltage, so I bought a Momba XL2 thinking it would be a stronger, and better all round ESC.
I was thinking about getting the Leopard 5692 1340Kv. From what I have gathered on the Forum, it sounds like the 5692 is a pretty stout motor. Someone had commented that it runs significantly cooler than the CC 1717.
I have been told now that the XL2 ESC will not last long with the Leopard 5692 1340Kv running on 6S (too many amps). I was also told that with the XL2 I need to run the 5692 1090kV on 8S if I want the ESC to hold up.
So is the XL2 not a strong ESC on 6S? Do you need to run 8S with it to reduce the Amps?
Any advice would be appreciated.
