ok so I have a dtt-7 29cc 30 dnt. i have lost two DGI lite weight flywheels that just took the 2nd new 29cc 30 dnt motor out with it.......REALLY. the point to a lite weight flywheel is to get the motor to turn up faster.....Now I need a rev limiter????

what are guys running that doesn't take out the motors...anyone out there buid a flywheel that will hold up??

where are they failing fella? you got any pics,
might just be a case of they were over done on the lightening, or you got really unlucky,

a picture can tell a lot, one of us may spot something that could help diagnose why it flew apart (y)

The solution is run stock flywheels, the gain is marginal if not pointless. Tbh I bet the reason why your breaking flywheels is because their not balanced. A turbo can spin up to 100k+ rpm and not grenade, you have a balance issue.
I thoiught that threw with the first one. I balanced the second one...... prop balancer for my aironotic addition

It is cast aluminum and it could be poor casting. I mean we can literally dive into twilight zone with this. Could be a rock strike, harmonics of the engine at the right frequency, took too much off the flywheel and left it to destroy itself. This is why I personally stayed away from those.

Two out of four blew apart just like this. The third was damages from pull cord coming apart and the fourth is still on the other dtt-7 truck.
