Losi 5T Need to know!

I'm picking up a Losi 5T this week. My first gas truck, but not my first gas RC (boats). With that in mind what do I need to know?

Best idea on any rtr gas rig is to pull the entire kit down and check for loctite on everything metal to metal especially the dogbone-pin screws, check diff fluids, shock fluids, install outerwears on pullstart and engine cases. Maybe put a exhaust pipe on it. That would be a great start.

On a positive note you won't have to go swim or row out to the truck like a boat

its just like a boat drop it in the water and go it will drive on the bottom

Get a kill switch for it for sure and maybe a pipe if you have extra cash to spend
The 5ive T is a good truck it doesn’t need much for upgrades

I have the bartalone pipe on my 5ive T and I really like it

Vrc, olimat, bartalone or obr are all good pipes. Just a matter of what sounds best to you. I run vrc and olimat pipes on my rigs. Vrc has a higher pitch sound where as the olimat is a deeper sounding brap.

Have VRC silenced. Really happy with it. It’s a lot quieter then my Losi pipe.
