Losi dbxl Zenoah g290

Hey guys I recently just picked up a stock dbxl with a vrc pipe and I decided to give it a little power upgrade. I have a zenoah g290 out of my Baja that I want to put into it, In Order to do this I need to change the Hpi clutch housing to the Losi clutch housing correct?
Also, I’ve been toying around with the idea of a lightened flywheel. Is this a good idea? Some people have said that they are bad for bashing is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics of my new rig..

Yes needs short bell and cy clutch holder. Flywheel doesn't matter.

The stock 23 bell won’t work on the g290?

Only when they start clipping fan blades off the flywheel

Do you think the zenoah g290 will work good in the DBXl? Would you have any gearing suggestions?

@Seandonato73 is your dbxl guy. I just chimed in on clipping blades for weight reduction

You may be able to run a 19 or 20 tooth pinion. Gearing nods I'm gonna be honest I has a ported g320 in mine, so it could pull the 20 tooth just fine. 19 was really easy. Flywheel wont be an issue, I have a dark souls lightweight flywheel no issues has most the center machined out of it and bolens all over it.

That thing is sweet. Where can I get one of those air filter setups. I can only find them for the five-t

Its for the 5ive t, just need to heat up the one post and bend it out of the way. You can see it in the one picture how I did it. Also if you search for "tear the ole girl down" there are a lot more pics and details of what was all done to it.
